Picchio Gold is a Passerina with pleasing notes of pears and baked apples, this fresh and crispy white wine has a long last finish. The name “Picchio,” in Italian, translates to “woodpecker,” which is the symbol of the Marche region, in particular the area of Ascoli Piceno. The vineyards face south on clayish soil that was once partially covered by the Adriatic Sea which left behind the minerals that make a rich growing region. With particular focus on specific aspects of sustainable vine growth, Domodimonti’s objective is to produce wines as naturally as possible with the least amount of additives.
