The Müenzenrieder vine-growing estate lies in the Neusiedlersee/ Seewinkel national park. Through natural cultivation methods, rigorous harvest scrutiny, and controlled cellar operations, winegrowers Johann and Johannes Müenzenrieder produce potent wines marked with regional characteristics and tremendous intensity. The special microclimate of the sun drenched Seewinkel area allows for fruitful, fresh white wines and dense, robust red wines to flourish. This blend of Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot is rich and intense. It possesses deep, dark fruit flavors, leafy cassis, Kalamata olives, blood oranges, and rosemary spices with notes of smoke. This is a full bodied wine with mature tannins and luscious fruit.
Mavie is a full bodied blend similar to Bordeaux. As such, it will pair well with hearty meat dishes, beef, venison, wild boar, and lamb. It will also stand up to fried or roasted foods and Mediterranean cuisine.
