In 1816, Prince von Metternich was granted the estate for his work in facilitating the Congress of Vienna after the defeat of Napoleon and dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire. This winery is so distinctive they are exempt from having to provide a village name on the bottle. This Riesling is Germany's finest sparkling wine.
